As we were mentally preparing ourselves to seek legal remedy to end this long drawn out story, we were quite surprised when we received an email update from Morelo after 5 weeks of “Omertà”. In their message, they were basically stating the obvious, in other words confirming that our documents were lost and that they will now endeavour to issue new ones. The sender was the very same person who mailed out the documents to an incorrect address (We don’t know why, but she sent this particular email to herself first than re-forwarded to us later.)

Email message sent by Morelo confirming that our documents were lost and that new ones will be issued.

As we wanted to err on the side of caution, we sent Morelo a message asking them to inform us as soon as they receive the new documents and hold onto them until our next instruction.

Again, an autoreply from Morelo indicating same person’s absence until the 14th of October. (It seems like this particular employee has more days off than working days!)

After 54 days, motorhome finally registered!

A few days later, we received a confirmation from Morelo stating that vehicle documents have been re-issued and ready for dispatch. We have given them the address of our German agent and asked them to send the documents via express mail with tracking. Our agent received the documents within 3 days and it took 1 additional day to register our motorhome.

At last, thanks to Morelo’s sudden U-Turn, this document saga was over and we were finally ready to pick up our motorhome!
