The Decision After weighing in all of our options, we have finally decided to proceed with Morelo Reisemobile. There were many factors that affected our decision making process. The most influencial factor was the exterior/interior design of Morelo motorhomes and the fact that -compared to other players in the market- Morelo was a young and ambitious company seemingly willing to go the extra mile to satisfy their customers. During our visit to the Concorde factory, we had noticed that they seemingly had a hard time adapting to the dynamic market conditions. Following our meetings with both companies, Morelo appeared to be more perceptive and open to our wishes.

The Ordering Process The overall ordering process was as smooth as it could get, especially considering the language barrier (German-English) and the number of motorhomes that the factory is producing and selling per year (300+).

We had quite a bit of specific requirements for our motorhome, therefore wanted to approach a dealer who would take time to listen to our wishes. We first established contact with a dealer in Austria (a mistake which we later ended up regretting). Responses were fast, tone was friendly at first.

The Dusseldorf Caravan Salon (beginning of September) was approaching and we decided to visit the Morelo stand to check out models. The dealer somehow could not make it to the show and referred us to a sales representative from the factory.

Later on, we figured that this particular Austrian dealer had many dealerships for numerous other motorhome and caravan brands, thus was more tempted in making quick sales on production models rather than go through the time consuming process of customizing a Morelo motorhome. On top, he would have to deal with a non-german speaking client. We will not disclose the name of this Austrian dealer for ethical reasons. Please send us a Message if you want to discuss the matter further.

We met with the Morelo sales rep at the show and discussed our options. To complement his english skills, he even asked the sales manager to accompany us during meetings. They were both very kind, both listened attentively to our requests and took notes. Colors and materials were chosen, requested modifications to standard specifications were also communicated. Occasionally they were called up elsewhere from the stand and had to leave, so the attention was somewhat divided.

We went many times back and forth to check out models on display. After a couple of hours and a few meetings, our order was finally ready.

Towards the end of October, we received an email from Morelo stating that our motorhome would be overloaded due to selected extras. They came up with a bunch of suggestions to reduce overall weight, so we finally reached a mutually agreed solution. At the beginning of December, we have received our Order Confirmation. Our order was official, they have started building our motorhome…
