Part 2 — Our Order Almost Got Cancelled!

As we have not heard from Morelo for a long period of time (October to February), we have started sending email messages to the Austrian dealer asking for status updates and when the deposit payment would become due. We were concerned about the silence and wanted to make sure that all was in good order.
We have sent a total of 6 email messages over 3 months. Dealer claimed he had forwarded all of our request to Morelo, standing by for their reply.
In mid April, we have received an email message from the factory putting us under notice that the production of our motorhome would be stopped and our order cancelled if they do not receive the deposit (10% of total price) within 24 hours. For some reason, this message was sent 1 day before Easter bank holiday. We immediately replied saying that this was the first time we have become aware of the matter and despite our numerous inquiries to the dealer, we had never received a status update or an invoice for the deposit. Factory claimed that the invoice was sent out to our office address but in fact we never received any document from Morelo. We asked for additional time due to bank holidays. They accomodated our request and gave us 1 more week during which we arranged the transfer of funds.
What was the problem? We would never know but it could be that the invoice got lost during transit. However, under normal conditions, invoices are usually scanned by email first then sent as hardcopy to official address.
The email message that we have received by Morelo also contained a thread of their internal communication (in German). It looks like they have been asking questions internally about our deposit payment since mid March. Funny thing is, they have been exchanging emails among themselves for almost a month, during which time no one thought about dropping us a line to ask for payment!
We think this is mainly due to a lack of internal communication in the factory. At any rate, the issue has been finally resolved without causing any delay.
